Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson is launching a new video game development studio called Wingnut Interactive. And he already has his first project according to Microsoft: creating one of two upcoming games set in the Halo universe. Just two days after Microsoft announced a new high definition DVD player add-on for the Xbox 360, Sony has said it will slash prices on the PlayStation 3 to help it compete – but only for Japan.
