Tetragon is one of those games that is almost mesmerizing. From the gentle soundtrack to the lovely 2D art, Tetragon is a very relaxing experience, especially for a puzzle game. The graphics and unique mechanics just makes this stylish puzzler even more enjoyable.
Boimler meets the Cerritos version of Red Squad. Tendi, Mariner, and Rutherford engage with trash day in a way only Starfleet can. Captain Freeman attempts a Picard-level maneuver, and Pakleds prove that even the vacuum of space will not defeat their particular brand of stupid. This week on Lower Decks: “The Spy Humongous.”
Patron is a brand new city builder that prides itself on realistic difficulty. There is also a strong political underpinning so that budding rulers can make enemies. Unfortunately for our Modern Gamer, the ultimate enemy was starvation, which her colonists experienced a lot.
The Cerritos ferries a unique diplomat whose species must remain calm in order to avoid catastrophic replication to Starbase 25. Coincidentally, the starbase happens to host the Command Conference, after which Starfleet throws an amazing after party. Captain Freeman, Ensign Mariner, and Ensign Boimler all attempt to make it to the party, and as always, things go awry. Tendi and Rutherford get caught up in it despite just wanting to finish a model.
Following up on their excellent documentary type game Attentat 1942, the new Svoboda 1945: Liberation drama finds players investigating the sad tales of historical atrocities that took place in and around Czechoslovakia during World War II. Like it’s predecessor, Svoboda offers some powerful gameplay.
Boimler and Rutherford discover something troubling about their good friend Mariner. Captain Freeman engages in a battle of wits with a grifter. Tendi faces off against a truly unwilling patient. Shaxs introduces his away team to a new kind of tracking, and the Mugato creatures just want some peace. This week on Lower Decks: “Mugato, Gumato.”
Big Farm Story is a delightful game for casual players, or those who just want to get away from the harshness of reality for a while. It’s a lot like Animal Crossing that way, but with so much more to accomplish and enjoy. So come on down to the Big Farm to experience a fun and relaxing time and a fine story.
Mariner and Tendi go on a girls’ trip with predictably disastrous consequences. Boimler attempts to reintegrate into the Cerritos community despite the computer’s refusal to cooperate, and a familiar face returns. Rutherford attempts to investigate and gets more than he anticipated. This week on Lower Decks: “We’ll Always Have Tom Paris.”
Ambition: A Minuet in Power is an engaging adventure and romance-based game set during the French Revolution. You will need to pick your outfits, choose your companions, trade influence and earn a little money, and most of all, literally keep your head in troubling times.
Jet joins the Lower Decks crowd, much to Mariner’s displeasure. Boimler continues to struggle aboard the Titan. Captain Freeman struggles with criticism, and a new chief of security joins the Cerritos. It’s situation normal for the second episode of the new Lower Decks season with: “Kayshon: His Eyes Open.”
