Sony devoted almost all of its two-hour long E3 Press conference to new PlayStation games, including several long gameplay demos and plenty of surprises. The Last Guardian got a 2016 release date, and PlayStation VR got a price. Plus God of War is back and Norman Reedus is getting a game.
EA kicked off E3 2016 with a press conference that focused on Star Wars, FIFA 17 and Battlefield 1, as well as eSports, with a taste of indie gaming from the whimsical Fe. Titanfall 2 was announced with a single-player mode and a slick trailer, as well as an October release date for the shooter from developer Respawn. Battlefield 1 got a lot of love, including a celebrity-packed livestream of multiplayer for the game which most people said looked pretty cool. UbiSoft put the focus on its games, including several long gameplay movies for new titles like Vikings as well as additions to titles like The Division. But the star of the show was arguably a deep look at Watch_Dogs 2, which may make up for the sins of the first game.
The E3 Expo 2016 conference kicked off with Bethesda Software letting everyone know what to expect from one of the hottest companies working in the game industry today.
Microsoft revealed the Xbox One S slim console as well as Project Scorpio, which will bring a new console devoted to 4K gaming by 2017. In addition to showing exclusive games like Gears of War, they also married PC and console gaming with the new Play Anywhere program, meaning you can cross-play games between consoles and Windows 10 PCs.

AwesomeCon 2016 was quite an affair, with everyone from Admiral Ackbar to NASA in attendance. Fans of sci-fi, anime and of course videogames had plenty to amuse themselves at this growing con with something for everyone.
