Cyberpunk 2077 is clearly a masterpiece, but also a heavily flawed one. We reviewed it on a high-end PC, which let the game put its best foot forward. But your mileage will vary. It’s almost unplayable on the PlayStation 4, but starts to shine when given enough hardware to drive Night City’s massive world.
Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is a modern game designed like an old-school platformer, with all the difficulty that entails. Inspired by Castlevania, Wallachia dives into the legend of Dracula before he became a supernatural villain.
Cloudpunk offers an exploration and role-playing experience that is compelling without the protagonist having to shoot anyone, or ever being in any real danger. It’s still an adult experience, set in a dark cyberpunk-type world.
Those who love tennis know that the last great tennis simulation was Top Spin 4, which released way back in 2011. Unfortunately, Tennis World Tour 2 doesn’t change this sad fact, though it does add a few interesting elements to the genre.
Game Review- The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon DLC
Peril on Gorgon is the first of two planned DLCs for last year’s Game of The Year winner, The Outer Worlds. The stupendous sci-fi RPG shooter is back with new missions, a darker story, more exploration and about eight to 10 hours of extended and exciting gameplay.
Picklock is a pixel-based, strategic thief simulator that will have you stealing everything that’s not nailed down from the till of cash registers to the toilet paper in your target’s bathroom. It offers pretty good gameplay for not much money.
Torchlight III offers a bright and colorful, easy-to-play hack and slash dungeon diving RPG. You really don’t need a lot of experience in the genre to begin playing, but even masters of this realm will find a lot to love in this more fluffy, cartoon-like role-playing utopia.
While Vampire’s Fall seems like a pretty good idea, with players taking on the role of a powerful vampire out for revenge, the game originally came out for mobile platforms – and probably should have stayed there. Some of the mobile gameplay just does not translate well in this port.
Watch Dogs Legion is one of the most ambitious games ever created, giving players an entire living city full of people to recruit, fight, abuse or liberate, or just to hang out and play darts with if you want. As such, everyone’s game is going to be completely different, but all of them will be pretty awesome.
It sounds like a good idea in theory. Take the tall sailing ships of yesteryear and build a management simulation around them while you slowly gain prestige and power in the Royal Navy. But Her Majesty’s Ship turns into a bit of a click and wait fest that sinks the gameplay.
