With more than a little bit of a nod to H. P. Lovecraft, The Sinking City adventure game provides one of the truest representations of a Call of Cthulhu pen and paper role-playing game, and all the positives and negatives that entails.
Warhammer: Chaosbane has been plagued with little bugs since launch, but now finally seems to have worked out the kinks to reveal a good action-oriented RPG that dives into some deep lore and good storytelling to create a compelling experience.

In the Outward RPG, you’re not really special. You’re not a hero. And you certainly aren’t the chosen one. Yet you must still venture forth and overcome incredible odds with no handholding. Not every player will make it, but if you like challenges, you might thrive.

We don’t know why the birds are so angry in Blazing Beaks, but they sure have gathered a lot of firepower. The game offers a fairly short stint of fighting levels, but also a nice local co-op mode, plus a lot of replay ability.
Our reviewer is used to translating books he reads from Japanese, but even he was confused at what the Sword and Fairy 6 game was trying to accomplish. The story is a terrible, badly translated jumble, and the graphics, audio and controls are just as rotten.
You will die far more than twice in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a challenging game that has no difficulty setting other than hard. It’s a beautiful tale rooted deeply in Japanese folklore that also looks amazing. If you want some nearly impossible challenges and the resulting rewards, Sekiro is your game.
