If you miss the golden age of cooperative videogame playing, then Pode for the Nintendo Switch may bring back some of that excitement. See if our two reviewers enjoyed Pode’s beautiful little romp of co-op goodness straight through to the end.
Tales of Broken Wings takes place in a quirky and colorful cartoon world populated with air pirates, aeronautical inventors, belligerent blimps and fantastic flying fish. Jump into the cockpit if you enjoy a good twin-stick challenge.
Although it doesn’t offer much beyond the ability to peek under the skirts of a few schoolgirls, the Gal Gun series has earned a cult following. Gal Gun 2 won’t do much to change that, but does provide a bit more campy fun.
Although interesting in concept, with a soul trying to escape from a beautifully rendered Hell, Agony has a surprisingly dull story, and takes to falling back on it’s gore factor, sexual innuendo and shock value to try and keep things interesting.
Lust for Darkness lives up to its namesake, blending intense sexual themes with Lovecraftian horror. It pulls no punches, but while at times can be jarring and certainly uncomfortable, the game never feels unreasonably gratuitous or insulting to the player.
Smoke and Sacrifice is a game with a lot of potential, a unique world and interesting gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, it also has some of the biggest bugs and technical flaws that we have ever experienced in a supposedly complete Nintendo Switch title.
This week’s Time Waster is a game called Lost Sea that challenges players with traversing a series of islands after a plane wreck strands them in the Bermuda Triangle.
