King’s League is one of the new crop of LitRPGs set in or around a videogame world. The concept is nothing new at this point, and sadly King’s League does little to advance the genre, though the audiobook acting is still top notch and worth a listen.
Kingdoms of Amalur was a fun if quirky action RPG when it was originally released back in 2012. It didn’t do great back then, but earned a legion of hardcore fans. Now remade as Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, it gets a second chance to impress RPG-loving gamers.

We thought that the Bobiverse books were done after the completion of the excellent third one. But author Dennis E. Taylor surprises us with Heaven’s River, a title that continues this excellent sci-fi saga.
Challenging players to rush through strikingly colorful levels as quickly and accurately as possible is the key to happiness in Post Void. It’s not a shooter for everyone, but it’s a lot of fun in short bursts, if your heart can take it.
Seeped in the Legend of King Arthur and dripping with atmosphere, Pendragon challenges players to rally to their king’s side in a unique title that balances story progression with turn-based combat. It’s time to get medieval on your enemies.
There has never been a more realistic starfighter combat game as Star Wars Squadrons. You can even play in virtual reality which is s truly amazing experience. The game is heavily tilted in favor of multiplayer interactions, though the single player part still offers a decent ride.
