While Croma Venture might not be quite as explosive as the other four books in the Spiral Wars series, it still presents a great look at how military sci-fi can be done right. And hopefully, it sets up even more adventures.
While Tower Of Shirin is every bit a puzzle adventure game, with all the pros can cons that entails, this one tends to rise above the pack a bit with colorful characters, and interesting world and a good story to move things along.
Continuing the puzzle-solving adventures of The Council, players will match wits with historical figures like George Washington and Napoleon while trying to solve a Lovecraftian mystery. Greater challenges await in episodes two and three.
Book four of the Spiral Wars series, by Joel Shepard, is another amazing entry for fans of either military thrillers or sci-fi, or just novels with really good, action-oriented plots. We’ve reviewed the complete series up to this point, and there is not a bad book in the bunch.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is much more than a remake of the classic game from 2008. Instead, it’s the cumulation of new game modes, dungeons, mini-games, sounds, bosses and other extras added over the years. And it has a great new HD look as well, making it one solid package.
Sometimes, the second book of a trilogy can be a bit of a letdown, and The Phoenix Empress falls into that category given how amazing The Tigers Daughter turned out. Still, its filled with a memorable style that hopefully bodes well for book three.
At The Gates is a turn-based strategy game from the lead designer of Civ V. While it is fun to play, and has that Civ feel without copying, it has some major flaws that might keep replayability down until the patches come in.
