Leaving the cramped metro tunnels behind for the wide open Russian countryside, Metro Exodus takes series fans on an amazing, wild new ride that will have them exploring hot deserts, lush forests, sweltering swamps, and of course, a few classic underground tunnels.
Engineer Sylvia Tilly is a fan favorite character on the Star Trek Discovery television show. But we don’t really know much about her twisted backstory. The Way to the Stars novel fills that in nicely, providing a great background that explains her strenghts and weaknesses from the show.
Overall, Rehtona is an adorable little puzzle platformer that has players navigating between light and dark worlds, and having actions taken in them influence one another. Even the name Rehtona is another puzzle itself. See if you can figure it out.
This week’s Time Waster is a rhythm racing game called Music Racer that has a heavy influence from the 80s with its neon glow. Come and see if Music Racer has got the sound and fury to make for a great Time Waster.
Apparently conflict in Hope County, Montana didn’t end when the atom bombs dropped. In fact, the county is doing pretty well other than all the murderous highway gangs. In Far Cry: New Dawn, you get to do something about that.
While Croma Venture might not be quite as explosive as the other four books in the Spiral Wars series, it still presents a great look at how military sci-fi can be done right. And hopefully, it sets up even more adventures.
While Tower Of Shirin is every bit a puzzle adventure game, with all the pros can cons that entails, this one tends to rise above the pack a bit with colorful characters, and interesting world and a good story to move things along.
Love Is A Battlefield DX is this week’s Time Waster and it mixes up genres by combining a shump with a dating sim for interesting results.
Continuing the puzzle-solving adventures of The Council, players will match wits with historical figures like George Washington and Napoleon while trying to solve a Lovecraftian mystery. Greater challenges await in episodes two and three.
Book four of the Spiral Wars series, by Joel Shepard, is another amazing entry for fans of either military thrillers or sci-fi, or just novels with really good, action-oriented plots. We’ve reviewed the complete series up to this point, and there is not a bad book in the bunch.
