Hey all I’m back with another Winter 2022 series for this week’s Anime Sunday. It’s my Wise Man’s Pupil Episode 01 Impressions!

Plot: The plot is pretty great though it does go pretty much voiceless for the last few minutes of the episode. That being said it does firmly set the tone for Danblf’s power and what we can expect going into the series. Considering it covers a part of the story not covered at all in the original web novel that I read years back, I’m pretty excited to see how this adaptation goes.

Characters: Dunbalf Gandagore is our main character, though we are also introduced to Solomon his best friend and king of the Alcait kingdom that he helped found in the game Ark Earth Online.

Art: The art is very well done, though I haven’t heard of a Studio A-Cat before this series. Though it’s not close to my gold standard it is leagues ahead of something produced by Studio DEEN.

Music: The music fit this first episode very well, but wasn’t particularly memorable.

Overall: A solid first episode in what is looking to be a very promising adaptation.

For those who like: Fantasy, Isekai, LitRPGs, Genderbent Main Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
