Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday with this week being a look at one of the past Winter season’s shows. It’s my “Villainess Level 99” Episode 01 impressions.

Plot: This is an adaptation of a light novel series I intended to read years back, but I got busy with various things so never got around to doing so. I really don’t want to spoil the surprise of the first episode, but what occurs in it is pretty fun and definitely worth giving this episode a watch because of it.

Characters: We get to meet quite a few characters, from Alicia to the capture targets as well as the main lead Yumiella. I really enjoyed Yumiella as a main character. Her entire demeanor is hilarious, and I enjoyed watching her quite a bit.

Art: The art is very good. It’s not ufotable quality sadly, but it’s definitely one of the better animated series I’ve seen in a while.

Music: The music for this first episode fits it perfectly, and I enjoyed it very much. It was pretty memorable which makes it rise above the masses of mostly bland music I hear nowadays in most anime.

Overall: This first episode is well worth watching if only for the rather interesting way they handle the plot in it. I won’t say more, but it’s definitely memorable.

For those who like: Fantasy, Isekai, drama, action, adventure, LitRPGs, amazing plot, great characters, and good artwork and music.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, but I sincerely recommend giving at least the first episode a watch.
