Hey all, I’m back with the second entry in an urban fantasy series about the adventures of Brandon for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Silver Magi Book Two” by D. Levesque.

Plot: This second entry starts off with the main character Brandon learning more about what he is, some sort of progenitor or Elveesian, though only he really knows about it. Frankly this is a rather short entry in a series that isn’t particularly innovative. Again, I keep drawing similarities between this and “The Valens Legacy” series.

Characters: Once more as with the first book of the series, I just didn’t enjoy the characters all that much. Though we did get to meet a few new characters, mostly it’s just focused on Brandon and his “girls.”  Brandon is way too headstrong for being some thirty-year-old dude, a fact that I keep stumbling over as it makes less and less sense the further I get into the series.

Overall: A somewhat lacking second entry in an already somewhat lacking series. Maybe some will enjoy it but take care if urban fantasy isn’t your thing.
