Hey all, I’m back with a rather recent film for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s Heart of Stone. This was a Netflix exclusive movie that starred Gal Gadot as the main character.

Plot: The plot of this film is all about a spy named Rachel Stone, played by Gal Gadot, trying to protect an AI system known as The Heart. It’s sort of like a Mission Impossible type of movie but not quite as good, I guess.

Casting: As I mentioned before, Gal Gadot of Wonder Woman fame really carries the film with her performance. Other cast members include Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, and Matthias Schweighofer, but you are mostly going to be watching Gadot as she drives, fights, and shoots her way around the globe. Gadot has clearly become a master of action movies and is able to effortlessly hold the spotlight here.

Cinematography: The effects are good as one would expect from a spy thriller. Netflix is really trying to up its game in this way, and Heart of Stone showed what they can do.

Music: The music was not all that memorable.

Overall: A good action flick and spy thriller although not up there with the top movies in that genre like the Mission Impossible series.

For those who like: Spy thrillers, action, drama, and good special effects.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
