Hey all, I’m back with a rather recent film for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s Safe.

Plot: The plot of this action film is pretty cliche, but it does the job well. And given that Jason Statham is its leading star, it’s full of action and gun fights. Honestly, the entire film felt like one giant action scene, which I suppose for some might be just what they want to see.

Casting: Jason Statham is the film’s leading star, and he honestly really does carry the entire film in my opinion. That isn’t to say that the rest of the cast is bad. It’s just the plot isn’t the greatest, and frankly they’re all overshadowed by Statham.

Cinematography: The special effects are decent but not amazing by any stretch of the word. But they are not terrible either.

Music: Given that I heard nearly constant gunfire, I don’t really remember much of the music beyond the fact that it fit the movie’s scenes.

Overall: An action film absolutely chock full of said action.

For those who like: Jason Statham, action, drama, and guns.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
