Hey all, I’m back with a pretty laid-back fic for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World:  Volume 01” by Tamamaru!

Plot: This is a fairly typical Isekai series. While it doesn’t really do much that’s different, the way it was done wasn’t too annoying. But that is just my take on it, and I’m well aware the Isekai genre is overflowing with titles recently so you may disagree. The book’s title is apt for the story because it is a pretty laid-back slice of life fic, with barely any action though there is some.

Characters: Eizo is the main character in the book, and he’s a pretty chill dude. Honestly, he’s pretty interesting, and I enjoyed reading about him in the story. The rest of the characters are just as interesting.

Overall: A solid, if potentially unimaginative story. Still, it may just be worth checking out if you don’t mind the storyline’s slow pace and the low action nature of the book.

For those who like: Slice of Life, Isekai Fics, Crafting, and a Fun Cast of Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
