Hey all, I’m back with an Isekai light novel series for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts With the Civilization of Ruin Volume One” by Fefu Kazuno.

Plot: The plot of this story revolves around a character named Takuto Ira who died at a young age due to a terminal disease. While he was alive, he loved playing a strategy video game called Eternal Nations. His favorite faction in Eternal Nations was the Civilization of Ruin, Mynoghra, which was fairly evil. Takuto Ira reincarnates into an Eternal Nations like world as a god who rules the civilization of Mynoghra. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy this, and I dropped this series after the third volume because it just kept dragging the story darker and darker which I have no real interest in reading.

Characters: Takuto is obviously the main character, but his right hand is the hero unit Atou, who is pretty much a slime despite her appearance as an elf. The rest of the characters are okay, but honestly, they’re highly overshadowed by Takuto and Atou, which is okay I suppose.

Overall: A decent Isekai light novel series, but I prefer to steer clear of dark fantasy nowadays.
