Hey all, I’m back with the sixth volume in the adventures of Hiro and his crew of the Krishna for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Reborn as a Space Mercenary Volume 06” by Ryuto.

Plot: After acquiring their new mothership, the Black Lotus, Hiro and his crew head off to a frontier outpost dedicated to halting the advance of the mysterious space monsters known as the Crystal Lifeforms with some supplies as an emergency courier.

Needless to say, things devolve pretty much from the start, and the entire volume is pretty action packed which is great.

Characters: We don’t get introduced to hardly any new characters. I think there are a grand total of two new characters that are actually named, and they’re not really brought up in this volume more than a couple times each. If you’ve been keeping up with the series thus far, there’s an old familiar face that appears in this volume that can probably be guessed given that the military is involved.

Overall: A very action-packed volume in one of my favorite series.
