Hey all, I’m back with the fourth entry in the adventures of Hiro and his crew of the Krishna for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Reborn as a Space Mercenary Volume Four” by Ryuto.

Plot: The plot starts right after the end of the last volume with Hiro and company still harboring Chris while protecting her from her murderous uncle Balthazar. This is one of my least favorite entries in the series, but that isn’t to say it’s bad. It’s just awkward at times. Where I’d usually be laughing or grinning while reading this series, I ended up cringing a tad too often for my tastes. Thankfully, it’s not completely full of cringe worthy moments, but they are there.

Characters: We don’t really get introduced to many new characters in this volume. Mainly Count Dalenwald is the only notable newcomer. But Hiro and his crew on the Krishna are still the stars of the story and it shows.

Overall: A decent but not outstanding fourth entry in the series.
