This week for Sensate Saturday I’m covering something that I found absolutely hilarious. It’s Konbini DMZ by Sao Satoru!

Plot Synopsis: Military comedy about a convenience store located in a DMZ, Demilitarized Zone, in the middle of an active warzone, and its employees and customers.

Plot: The plot isn’t serious, which is great because the premise of the series is absolutely hilarious. Even the usual Japanese politeness is modified to fit the setting and it’s absolutely wonderful. If you need to laugh at the Industrial Military Complex, or just plain laugh, you need to be reading this.

Characters: The cast is wonderful, I particularly love the manager of the store. He’s funny as hell.

Art: The art is perfect for this series, it fits it perfectly.

Overall: Hilarity and poking fun at the ridiculousness of war make this a must read.

For those who like: Action, Comedy, Parodies, Military.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
