Sometimes, you just do not feel like going out at night on the weekend. You would much rather stay in on the weekend and watch a movie instead to relax. You might choose to watch it by yourself and recharge, or invite a few friends over for a good time. Whichever way you decide to go, here are three hilarious movies about casinos that you need to watch this weekend. This list was prepared by online casino guide.
The Hangover
The Hangover is ‘THE’ definitive casino comedy movie. The plotline revolves around four friends that grew apart in adulthood but get together to throw a bachelor party in Vegas for the one who is getting married. Unfortunately, things do not go according to plan and they wake up the next day with no recollection of the previous night (hence, the title of the movie). To make matters worse, the groom is missing and no one has any idea where he might be. The three friends have to put their differences aside and scour the city to find the groom before it is time for the wedding.
Bradley Cooper, Zach Galfianakis, and Ed Helms play the three main characters of the movie. With superb acting and comedic timing, this movie makes for a great weekend watch. The extremely talented actor Ken Jeong does not have a major role in the movie, yet makes quite a few hilarious appearances throughout that keep you entertained.
The four friends choose to stay at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for their trip. The majority of the movie was filmed inside the casino and hotel.
Last Vegas
The premise of Last Vegas might seem eerily similar to that of the Hangover at first sight. This is also a movie about four old friends who decide to throw a bachelor party in Vegas.
However, that is where the similarities with The Hangover end. Unlike The Hangover, this is a PG-13 rated movie, which means that you can watch it with the family. The antics of the cast are not as extreme as the ones on the Hangover, partly due to the age of the characters.
However, the movie still makes for a great watch if you’re in the mood for something funny. The credit of making this movie worth a watch goes to the writers and directors. And of course, the star actors: Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, and Kevin Kline. These veterans of the film industry deliver spectacular and convincing performances that bring their characters to life.
The four friends choose to stay at the Aria for the bachelor party. However, we would be surprised if you did not know this fact after watching the movie. The Aria’s logo was omnipresent throughout the entirety of the movie.
War Dogs
The writer and director of this movie, Todd Phillips, might just be the brand ambassador for Caesars Palace in Hollywood. He has shot scenes inside the casino and hotel for many of his movies, including the Hangover and its third sequel.
War Dogs is not like other comedies on this list. In fact, it is actually loosely based on a true story about two friends who supplied arms and ammunition to American allies in Afghanistan. However, there are hilariously comedic scenes throughout the movie.
A large part of what makes this movie so funny is the superb acting of the accomplished comedy actor Jonah Hill. Bradley Cooper and Miles Teller, the other two stars of the show, also delivered compelling performances to make this a perfect comedy movie for the weekend.
