The 3D Gaming Summit's proven, high power, in-the-round environment will deliver senior level decision makers, leading press and market analysts.
"It is clear games have driven entertainment for the last many decades. Interactive entertainment is both more challenging and more satisfying. The advent of stereoscopic 3D only amplifies the intensity and immersion in the actual experience," said Bob Dowling, Conference Chair. "When stereoscopic 3D is in the consumer's home through 3D enabled television the game industry will again take a significant leap forward."
To enhance industry interaction the event's organizers have developed a unique interactive showcase area of the event to allow technology and service vendors to meet with industry stakeholders to discuss business issues, demonstrate products and build partnerships.
"Consumers are leading the way to pervasive 3D entertainment," add John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm, the event's organizer. "With the worldwide success of 3D movies like James Cameron's Avatar, and the deluge of 3D product announcements at the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) its clear that 3D is accelerating its march into the home. Video games will lead the way."
Key sponsors will highlight 3D gaming technology and provide brief viewing shorts prior to general sessions. With games being called a driving force for consumers upgrading to 3D home entertainment centers the 3D ready capable display makers will also be a highlight of this area.
Additional industry partners include Interpret LLC, Creative Strategies Inc., Jon Peddie Research (JPR), S3DGA (The S-3D Gaming Alliance) and Meant to Be Seen (mtbs3D.com), the foremost authority group on consumer S-3D gaming and entertainment.
