It won’t be same bat-time for Batman fans, as Rocksteady Studios announces a new date for the concluding game in its Arkham trilogy.
Batman: Arkham Knight, which is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, will be released on 23 June, instead of 2 of June.
“We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy, ” said Sefton Hill, game director for Rocksteady Studios.
This is the second time the game has been delayed. Originally, Batman was due to grace next gen consoles in October 2014, before the 2 June date was announced. Gamers won’t pleased to hear the latest news, which delays the title by eight months. When the game finally hits stores, fans will be expecting a very polished title.
To appease eager fans, the news of the delay was softened,
somewhat, with a new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight. Gotham looks gloriously gritty, with a China Town section and lots of gloomy rooftops to flap over. The Scarecrow is the main villain of the peace, this time around and the long-awaited batmobile is also seeing a lot of action in this trailer, so expect some car chases, come June.
Until then, enjoy the trailer.
