Independent German developer Bitfall Studios in partnership with publisher Toplitz Productions has announced that their sandbox city builder / puzzle game, TerraScape will be coming to Steam early access on April 5th. Ahead of the early access launch, players can join the Beta playtest on Steam starting Thursday March 16th and runs until Thursday March 23rd.
TerraScape utilizes a unique approach to building the city, town or shire of your dreams with the addition of card decks, and each pack of cards in TerraScape offers different buildings and ways to expand your city and create scoring opportunities. Place your cards wisely in the game world to earn points and receive new cards as rewards.
Since each building has different influences, be it other buildings, natural resources, or the right terrain, no two maps are ever the same and buildings can have both positive and negative influences on your overall score depending on where they are placed.
The game’s current procedural maps and challenges will be expanded upon with a host of further card decks, maps and game modes that Bitfall Studios will integrate during early access.
“We’re thrilled to be able to share our own take on the city builder genre with TerraScape’s relaxed card based mechanic. We’re also looking forward to seeing the endless creative possibilities that the player community will explore during the game’s beta,” said Nico Pattmann, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitfall Studios GmbH.
Join the TerraScape Beta playtest on Steam and explore a diverse and beautifully detailed world builder to score points by creating the world of your dreams. Developer Bitfall Studios has added the first TerraScape gameplay video to the games Steam page.
