Got Game Entertainment LLC today announced that it has reached a co-publishing agreement with Merscom LLC to bring World War II real-time strategy game "Squad Assault: Second Wave" for PC to North American retail. The game is a significantly updated, enhanced, and expanded release of the critically-acclaimed "Squad Assault: West Front", with even more new campaigns, operations, and single mission scenarios than previously announced, for at least 100 new battles. The North American release as "Squad Assault: Second Wave" incorporates all previously released patches and includes 800 MB of new content including over 50 new modder maps. The game also includes multi-player options for head to head play via TCP/IP and LAN. "Squad Assault: Second Wave" is scheduled for North American release June 2005 and will retail for $29.99 (USD).
Created by Eric Young, of DAS Entertainment, designer of such war game classics as the "Close Combat" series and the "V for Victory" series, "Squad Assault: Second Wave" continues that quality tradition.
"’Squad Assault: Second Wave' certainly lives up to its name", said Got Game Entertainment President, Howard Horowitz. "With its new campaigns, new operations, and new missions, it's a powerful second wave of great gameplay."
Also included along with the new campaigns and operations, which account for at least 100 new battles, is a new world editor to create maps, and over 50 new bonus modder maps.
"The new modder maps have been play tested and data reviewed and I personally found all of them to be of excellent quality," said designer Eric Young." These maps are a definite bonus for ‘Squad Assault: Second Wave' players."
