Many gamers have reported that when playing 2K Sport's new NBA 2K9 game that the title will completely lock up. This was happening seemingly randomly and across all platforms. It also was occurring only during online play.

At first perplexed with the issue, 2K Sports now says that the problem is not with the game itself but instead their online servers, which should prove easier to fix. A brief statement from 2K Sports follows.

"We are aware of freezing issues occurring when going online with both the Xbox 360 and PS3 console and NBA 2K9. This has to do with issues on our server that we are working to correct."
