NCsoft Corporation, the world's leading developer and publisher of online computer games, today announced plans for this year's GenCon So Cal show. The show is at the Anaheim Convention Center, Dec. 2 through Dec. 5.
The NCsoft booth will feature Lineage II and City of Heroes, two massively multiplayer games of decidedly different flavors and the highly anticipated Guild Wars. Lineage II, named role-playing game of the year by Scripps Howard News Service, brings a gorgeous world of medieval fantasy to your desktop and is a player-versus-player favorite. City of Heroes, which recently won two Game of the Year awards from Billboard Magazine and was developed by Cryptic Studios, is a massively multiplayer online game that enables players to create the costumes and powers for their own, uniquely designed hero and fight villains in the fictional Paragon City. Guild Wars, developed by ArenaNet offers large head-to-head guild battles, cooperative group combat and single-player missions as players explore a fantasy world and test their skills against chosen rivals.
GenCon So Cal attendees will be able to meet the development teams, see live demonstrations of the games, and participate in contests and giveaways, including a closed beta test slot for next year's City of Villains.
NCsoft is also sponsoring a 24-hour PC LAN Center during the show. In addition to playing several of the industry's most popular games, attendees can play any NCsoft title for free from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Attendees who visit the LAN Center during the weekend may also play Guild Wars during its December Beta Weekend Event.
