The ninja storm shows no sign of abating as NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., announced today that the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja: STORM 2 video game has shipped more than one million units worldwide since it’s October launch. Available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the game comes complete with a new online mode, redefined fighting mechanics, and a rich story. Based on the popular NARUTO SHIPPUDEN animated series from VIZ Media, LLC, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja: STORM 2 delivers the most exciting fighting-adventure experience in the series to date.
Developed by CyberConnect2, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja: STORM 2 immerses players in the mythical world of ninja with rich content and engaging gameplay. Faithfully recreating the anime universe, the game takes players through the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN story arc as they live the adventure through the eyes of Naruto, Sasuke and Jiraiya.
In addition to these fan-favorite ninja, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja: STORM 2 includes over 40 playable warriors for more intense battles. As an added bonus, Lars Alexandersson of TEKKEN 6 fame appears as an unlockable guest character. Bringing his explosive signature moves to the game’s versus mode, Lars also appears in his TEKKEN 6 costume designed by NARUTO creator Masashi Kishimoto.
Now for the first time in the Ultimate Ninja series, online versus play is available for budding ninja to flex their jutsu muscle against the world. Featuring an evolved Support Character system, players must strategically recruit the correct allies to help unleash bigger and more explosive Team Ultimate Jutsu upon enemies who stand in the way.
