Firefly Studios, creators of the Stronghold series of real-time strategy games, has just announced their first ever Stronghold Community Night, taking place in London at The George Inn on July 1st 2013.

Spurred on by the recent success of their free-to-play MMO Stronghold Kingdoms, which has attracted a community of over 1.5 million players since launch, Firefly Studios has decided it is time to connect with the fans outside of trade shows and online forums. To this end Firefly will be hosting a community night on July 1st at London’s largest and most widely-known medieval pub, The George Inn.

Stronghold fans are invited to come and share a drink with the team behind the original Stronghold, as well as team members from newer titles such as Stronghold HD, Stronghold Kingdoms and the upcoming Stronghold Crusader 2. ‘Our fans are the reason that Firefly Studios still exists’ said Nick Tannahill, Marketing Manager at Firefly. ‘They have been supporting us for nearly 14 years now and we want to thank them personally for that. Meeting fans at trade events is great, but it is still a very formal setting where you are essentially at work. We are hoping that we can get to know our players, at least those able to make it into London, on a more personal level.’ The festivities will begin at 7pm local time, but attendees are welcome to turn up earlier.
