Telltale Inc, today announced the worldwide launch of its character based poker game Telltale Texas Hold'Em!
In this hilarious new game the player squares off against four wacky characters, all with their own individual playing styles. The engaging PC title is unique among video poker games, focusing on the characters more than the cards.
"Texas Hold'Em is a phenomenon right now, not only as a card game, but also as an entertainment experience," said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "Our character personality A.I. system allows us to capture the character interplay of a real Texas Hold'Em game better than any other poker game available for download or at retail."
Telltale Texas Hold'Em! is a 3D game with fully animated characters and over 1,800 lines of dialogue, all delivered to the user in a download of less than 25 megabytes. By making the game available for download, Telltale hopes to reach a wider audience, "Our goal is to build retail quality games for the downloadable space that can be enjoyed by everybody," said Connors.
Telltale Texas Hold'Em! is currently available for a free trial download at www.Telltalegames.com or via the Trymedia global distribution network and its consumer site at www.trygames.com.
Telltale Inc. is made up of veterans of some of the most well loved titles in gaming history. They are now bringing their talents to the burgeoning downloadable games market. Later this year the company is expected to launch the first PC title of Bone, Jeff Smith's acclaimed comic book series.
