On Auraxis the roar of a Sunderer, the crackle of bullets, the explosion of a Galaxy, the cries of fear from enemy factions — the glorious sounds of battle — are music to every soldier’s ear. Today, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) released the first episode in their newest series "Behind the Battle Lines," exploring the integral role music plays in the PlanetSide 2 experience.

In this all-new video, SOE Audio Director Rodney Gates, Composer Jeff Broadbent and Producer / Orchestrator Assaf Rinde take viewers back to the beginning for a look at the first recording session for PlanetSide 2. The behind-the-scenes footage allows players to learn how the game’s soundtrack helps convey the emotions of the three unique Empires.
