To determine which online games Americans are most obsessed with, the team at ChumbaCasino.com analyzed a selection of the most popular online games to play with friends. They utilized Google Keyword Planner to collect data on search volumes for terms related to these games across the USA as a whole and on a state-by-state basis. This data was collected between March 2021 and March 2024.

Using this search volume data, they calculated the proportion of search volumes per 100,000 people in each state’s population, allowing them to identify the states and cities most “obsessed” with each game. Interestingly, Florida emerged as the state most obsessed with online gaming, making it safe to say that the Sunshine State has the most social online gamers. Conversely, Vermont has the least, despite being the most obsessed with card games.

This passion for video games has turned the USA into the biggest video game market in the world, generating a revenue of 54.9 billion US dollars in 2022.
