Fresh franchises, old favourites and an abundance of indie titles will fight it out in 2019, a year said to be the best ever for new video game launches. With a huge number of new releases on the way, there are some that stand out from the rest.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Nintendo Switch

Resident Evil 2
A glossy remake of the 1998’s game which sold 4.96 million copies for PS1 and still remains the bestselling Resident Evil game on a single platform. With modern graphics and insane gore levels, this highly anticipated game will be launched near the end of January 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. Offering either 4K resolution or 60 frames per second, the game enhancements are another thrilling feature and impatient gamers the world over are longing for its release.
Kingdom Hearts III
The twelfth instalment of the action packed role playing Kingdom Hearts Series, Kingdom Hearts III is the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga. Kingdom Hearts III arrives for PS4 and Xbox One and to keep thing fresh, Square Enix has added Pixar universes like Toy Story and Monsters Inc into the mix. Through the power of friendship, the team attempts to avert a second Keyblade War. Sora teams up with Donald, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku to overcome challenges and persevere against the darkness that is threatening their worlds. Expect plentiful universe hoping and lots of familiar faces.
The Occupation
The Occupation is a first-person, fixed-time, investigative thriller which was developed by White Paper Games. The release of this epic game has been delayed to February 2019 where it will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows both physically and digitally. Set in an alternate version of 1987 where memories can be reconstructed and probed, you’ll play as a whistleblowing journalist in the confines of a government building. Events will occur with or without your input as the game is set in real time over a period of four hours. Following a controversial government act and a terrorist attack, you have to choose whether to investigate or stay out of the way. Because this game allows such freedom of choice, it is unique and offers an engaging experience.
Crackdown 3
Part three of the Crackdown series is coming to Xbox One and Windows and set ten years after the events of the previous game, Crackdown 3 promises to be just as exciting and mysterious as it ever was. Commander Jaxon will lead you into battle against the enigmatic Terra Nova organization. Fight against new gangs and their kingpins in the city of New Providence and use the wide array of weaponry to help you take them on. Crackdown 3 has fully destructible environments and the Wrecking Zone, a new feature is the games competitive multiplayer mode.
ToeJam & Earl: Back In The Groove!
One of Sega Mega Drive’s most loveable oddities, the fourth entry of these alien rappers is coming back with even more surprises. ToeJam and Earl have landed back on earth with a crash and once again, they will have to navigate this planet and retrieve all the lost pieces back to the Rapmaster Rocket. This game is funky and fresh and incorporates a rogue adventure with old school hip-hop, and is jam packed with throwbacks to the 1991 classic version. Team up for co-op play to discover secret locations, makes new friends and find hidden presents as you make your way through an unpredictable world that is constantly changing.
