Artix Entertainment, with over 85 million gamer accounts for their four game titles, today announced the launch of WarpForce, its fifth game and first AE expansion.
"WarpForce is our first expansion," said Tony Deller, Project Lead, WarpForce. "Just like AdventureQuest, this is a single-player, turn-based, Flash-animated experience. We are taking the humor and action of the original AdventureQuest and moving it out into space, building on the mythology of AdventureQuest's first major story arc (called the Devourer Saga). Monsters, space battles, and puns will abound!"
WarpForce is a massive single-player storyline about the people of Lore (Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and a reptilian race called Drakel) who band together to create a fleet of starships powered by science and magic. The starships engage in outer space missions to vanquish a vast and powerful alien network poised to take over the universe. The game takes ideas of traditional fantasy and rockets them into a Sci-Fi universe, combining classic RPG elements with the hallmark Artix Entertainment humor.
According to Mr. Deller, "Even though WarpForce is an expansion, it is also a complete game by itself, and able to be played and followed from the beginning even if you have never played AdventureQuest. And just like AdventureQuest, WarpForce will be an evolving game with ongoing updates."
WarpForce begins on the world of Lore filled with warriors, dragons, wizards, and all types of fantastic creatures.
WarpForce unlocks as the player levels up (much like a console game), becoming more powerful by increasing stats and getting advanced equipment. Players choose among several races (each with benefits) and dynamically change equipment during fast-paced, animated battles. Players are able to combine their efforts in large wars and crossover events.
