Prepare to fall in love. She’s sassy, can strut her stuff on the dance floor and doesn’t look too bad in a skin-tight outfit either – always handy when fighting enemy security droids. Her name is Vanessa Schneider and she just happens to be a freelance mercenary and robot killer rolled into one. That’s a very good thing when you’ve just been hired to tackle an out of control security system on a distant planet. I always had a soft spot for Futurama when Fox was still airing it. Though the show was primarily known as just being Matt Groening’s other series, many people including myself fell in love with the show’s mix of science fiction parody, laugh-out loud funny dialogue, and the sheer stupidity of the show’s main character Fry. Unfortunately, Fox didn’t support the show as much as it supported that other Matt Groening show, so now Futurama fans have had to look for other places for their Futurama fix, and now TNT and Cartoon Network’s reruns of the series aren’t their only … Continue reading Cancelled show lives on
Hello my name is Mike and I am addicted to Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. You will be to as soon as you get your hands in it. Now Rebel Strike has many flying Missions, but the new twist is the 3rd person action/adventure part. A lot of people I know who have this game seem to be comparing it to Rogue Squadron II. They claim the 3rd person part, while a good idea, doesn’t seem to deliver. I’ve never played Rogue Squadron II. The last Star Wars game that I spent two week so my life trying to beat … Continue reading Addiction Cubed
The Nintendo Gamecube has worked up a bad reputation as being a system for the kids. Compared to the Xbox and Playstation 2, Gamecube has very little mature games that appeal to older gamers. Nintendo has tried several times to get third party developers to make mature games for the Gamecube, and has been relatively successful. However, most third party developers have been scared away because they don’t want to compete with Nintendo’s excellent first party games. Eidos released Hitman 2 on all platforms, but it was released on the Gamecube a few months after the other systems. By releasing … Continue reading GameCube Gets Hit
I love the Simpsons. Very seldom do I watch network television these days, but the Simpsons has always been a tradition for me. I even watch it at work when I am closing up for the night, and I even have my own favorite episodes in mind (Some of my favorite episodes include Cape Fear, featuring Sideshow Bob’s ordeal with the rakes, and Bart Sells His Soul, where we hear the sissified Todd Flanders yell out "Ow, my freaking ears!"). On the other hand, I also love the GTA series. Whether it is the open ended gameplay, the engrossing storyline, … Continue reading Grand Theft Auto: Springfield
Beyblade: animal, mineral or vegetable? I’ll I can say is I’m lucky my five year old son wanted to see the new game I was about to try out. I started the game ready to kick some butt. Hey the package says Beyblade. This game is obviously about sword play. Much to my surprise I found myself playing against a spinning top. "WHERE THE HECK ARE THE SWORDS!" I screamed at the television. Then my five year old chimed in "They’re supposed to be tops Dad. Don’t you know anything?" Suddenly I felt the curse of old age creeping up … Continue reading Beyblade Charms the Kids
