The Skirmisher is looking forward to playing lots of new games in 2021, and trying to forget some of the disappointments of last year. After all, this year has to be better, right? These are the five games that he is most looking forward to this year. And — happy New Year everyone!
Anyone looking for adventure should sail no further than Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. This latest Assassin’s Creed game takes everything good about the series and wraps it up in an exciting and beautiful Norse-flavored package that is packed with brutal Viking combat.
Our editor takes over The Skirmisher column this week for his annual holiday gaming celebration article. The only problem is that, probably like most of you, he doesn’t feel much like celebrating the year 2020. Let’s see if we can lift our collective spirits anyway.
Cyberpunk 2077 is clearly a masterpiece, but also a heavily flawed one. We reviewed it on a high-end PC, which let the game put its best foot forward. But your mileage will vary. It’s almost unplayable on the PlayStation 4, but starts to shine when given enough hardware to drive Night City’s massive world.
Cavemen, aliens and jetpacks – after a successful launch on the Nintendo Switch, it’s time for PC players and Xbox owners to face the prehistoric threat as well.
