Although details were sketchy, Fox Digital announced at the San Diego ComicCon that it would be releasing a video game based on the popular Firefly TV show and movie. The game will be released for iOS and Android devices sometime in 2014. The developer for the project is QMx Interactive, which is probably best known for Dairy Queen Tycoon and Plight of the Zombie. Before I had a chance to play Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the Xbox, I will admit I had not watched the series on a regular basis. I’ll admit, I’ve always been a big fan of classic arcade shooters. I don’t know why, maybe it was because of the sheer adrenaline rush that was obtained when trying to survive an endless onslaught of aliens. I am a major X-Files fan, so when I found out that Fox Interactive was putting out an X-Files Game, I knew I had to have it. After a heated bidding war with the other GiN reviewers, I managed to convince the editor in chief that I was the best man for the job.
