Silent Hill 3 is one of the best, and best-looking, games I have ever played on the PS2. It has the right mix of action, thinking and horror. It’s as good as or better than any horror movie and will suck you right into the middle of the action. It will have you looking over your shoulder and fearing the things that go bump in the night.
Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams is basically an improved Xbox version of SH2 for the Play Station 2. I did not have the opportunity to play the original Silent Hill game, but I am told by several of my colleagues that I missed out in a big way. From speaking to them, I don’t know if either version of SH2 quite lives up to the original, but I did have an enjoyable time playing the game, especially about 11:00 at night with the lights all turned off. Metal Gear Solid was a masterpiece back in 1998. It was so good, in fact, that I wanted it to be our choice for Game of the Year. Konami’s "Contra Adventure" is clearly a big disappointment in the Contra series. This game should have been taken back to the drawing board for some serious rework.
