Astroslugs is a devilishly challenging puzzle game from Bit Barons. The game starts with a board of asteroids and a selection of shapes. Interlock all the shapes on the board without leaving any outstanding asteroids uncovered.
It sounds simple enough, and on the lower levels it is. But as you progress through the levels the puzzles are more and more challenging.
Game play is simple enough. To select a shape you simply draw it over the asteroids with your finger. To erase a shape (which if you’re like me you’ll end up doing that a lot) you wipe over it with your finger. To erase the whole board swipe the screen with your hand.
The music gets repetitive after awhile, so I turned it off, but I often do that with this kind of game anyway since I frequently play them in public. The graphics are smooth but basic.
The joy of the game is in the puzzles and the puzzles are compelling.
Pick this one up and you’ll have trouble putting it back down.
